PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is implementing safety improvements on a three-quarter-mile segment of U.S. 192 (State Road (S.R.) 530) from U.S. 27 to the Orange County line. The purpose of the project is to maintain a safe and reliable travel surface.

In addition to resurfacing, planned improvements include:

• Restriping a section of westbound U.S. 192 to provide a dedicated right turn lane into Town Center Boulevard West.
• Adding crosswalks at the intersection of U.S. 192 and Town Center Boulevard East. This will include updated traffic signals and reconstructed curb ramps as needed to comply with ADA standards.
• Adding 6-foot-wide sidewalks on the north and south sides of U.S. 192 where none exist.
• Resurfacing on ramps to U.S. 27.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Motorists should anticipate areas of uneven pavement within the project limits, a common condition during construction when the contractor applies multiple asphalt layers in phases. Temporary lane closures should also be expected throughout the work zone both day and night, as crews require buffer zones to remain protected from oncoming traffic during construction operations.
    Single-lane closures within 600 feet of a signalized intersection are not permitted between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. on westbound U.S. 192, and between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on eastbound U.S. 192.
    Double-lane closures are not permitted between 1:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. on westbound U.S. 192, or between 6:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. on eastbound U.S. 192. Double-lane closures within 600 feet of a signalized intersection are not permitted between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m. on westbound U.S. 192, and 6 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. on eastbound U.S. 192.
Roadway conditions are temporary and will improve gradually as the project progresses. While workers are on site, motorists are strongly encouraged to exercise caution and reduce speed to ensure the safety of everyone on the roadway. The project timeline is subject to change and may be adjusted due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
