About

The purpose of this project is to build a new designated truck parking facility near Interstate 4 (I-4) in Seminole County to serve Central Florida and support the state's freight industry. This project is the first being undertaken by District 5 to address the high demand for safe truck parking along the I-4 corridor. Due to economic growth and the resulting increase in the demand for the delivery of goods, the need for safe parking facilities along our Interstates has become a critical issue for all drivers and our I-4 communities.

The facility will be located on a parcel in the southeast quadrant of the I-4 and U.S. 17-92 interchange. Trucks will have the option of utilizing Exit 101 and S.R. 46 or Exit 104 and U.S.17/92 to access the facility.  It will include 132 parking spaces for trucks, as well as restrooms, lighting, landscaping and EV charging stations and other amenities.

The site is one of five locations identified through the Central Florida Truck Parking Project Development & Environment (PD&E) Study, which is expected to finish in Summer 2024.
