About

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is implementing several operational and safety improvements at the intersection of U.S. 1 (State Road (S.R.) 5) and Fay Boulevard in Port St. John. The project involves reconstructing and modernizing the existing traffic signal system, including installing new signal poles. Improvements focused on pedestrian safety include rebuilding corner curbs and curb ramps to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards, adding and upgrading crosswalks, and constructing new pedestrian signals. The intersection will also be milled and resurfaced to extend the corridor's service life.
