About

The purpose of this project is to rehabilitate the existing pavement on State Road (S.R.) 40 from the Marion County line to the Volusia County line in Lake County, a distance of nearly 7.7 miles. The project also includes bicycle keyhole additions, signing and pavement markings, minor drainage improvements, and guardrail replacement as needed.

  • Sunday, April 2 through Saturday, April 8, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Motorists should expect eastbound and westbound, intermittent daytime lane closures on SR 40 from SR 19 to St. Johns River Bridge for shoulder work with flagger operations. Please slow down approaching the construction zone, merge safely into the open lane(s) and proceed cautiously through the work area.
