445190-1 US 301 (SR 35) from CR 521 to SR 44
Project Details
About
This project will repave U.S. 301 (State Road (S.R.) 35) from County Road (C.R.) 521 to S.R. 44 between the cities of Coleman and Wildwood to extend the life of the existing roadway.
Planned safety enhancements include adding asphalt to several locations where side roads and driveways remain unpaved. Shoulder widening will take place on C.R. 471 through the Florida Turnpike interchange at U.S. 301. The project will also add 800 feet of sidewalk on the west side of U.S. 301 between Spring Lake Road and S.R. 44 to fill gaps and improve safety for pedestrians and bicyclists.
Additional work includes making signing and pavement marking modifications, realigning the northbound S.R. 91 exit ramp to U.S. 301, installing signalization at southbound and northbound Florida Turnpike exit ramps to U.S. 301, and installing roadway lighting at the ramp terminals.
