The goal of this project is to increase pedestrian safety at specific signalized intersections by installing street lighting that offers better visibility. Light Emitting Diode (LED) fixtures will be installed at each intersection, and any existing fixtures will be upgraded to LED. No other intersection improvements are expected in this project. This project improves signalized intersections along Alafaya Trail (State Road (S.R.) 434) and U.S. 192 at the following locations:

1. Alafaya Trail at Challenger Parkway
2. Alafaya Trail at Science Drive/Lokanosa Trail
3. Alafaya Trail at Research Parkway
4. Alafaya Trail at Central Florida Boulevard
5. Alafaya Trail at University Boulevard
6. Alafaya Trail at Strategy Boulevard
7. Alafaya Trail at Centaurus Drive/Westinghouse Drive
8. Alafaya Trail at Gemini Boulevard/Corporate Boulevard
9. Alafaya Trail at McCulloch Road
10.  U.S. 192 at Avalon Road/Westside Boulevard
11.  U.S. 192 at Lindfield Boulevard
12.  U.S. 192 at Vista Del Lago/ Howard Johnson Entrance
13.  U.S. 192 at Secret Lake Drive  

FDOT has completed the design phase of this project. Local utility companies are completing the required work.
