The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is conducting a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study to evaluate alternatives for widening U.S. 17/92 from County Road (C.R.) 54 in Polk County to Avenue A in Osceola County, a project length of approximately 5.04 miles. The purpose of this project is to address current and future travel demand and improve safety for this regionally significant arterial roadway.

The Corridor Planning Study was completed in February 2018. The findings and recommendations from the Corridor Planning Study are being evaluated and refined during this PD&E study in coordination with local agency partners, stakeholders, and the public.
