About

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) plans to build a new interchange on Interstate 95 (I-95) at Pioneer Trail near New Smyrna Beach in Volusia County. The new interchange will address current and future travel demand, as well as relieve traffic congestion at the two adjacent interchanges north and south of the project: I-95 at State Road 421 (Dunlawton Avenue) and I-95 at State Road 44 (Lytle Avenue).

The project also proposes to widen Pioneer Trail from Williamson Boulevard to south of Turnbull Bay Road and add a new traffic signal at Williamson Boulevard. A roundabout is proposed at Turnbull Bay Road to enhance safety and operations.
