S.R. 50 Traffic Shift to begin February 23, 2023
Motorists, please be advised: Two-way traffic will be temporarily shifted from the existing travel lanes west of the Little Withlacoochee River at the Hernando/Sumter County line, onto the new asphalt pavement and bridge on the south side of existing S.R. 50. The shift will allow the contractor to work on the next phase of construction, which includes drainage and roadway improvements on the north side of S.R. 50.
Electronic message boards have been installed to inform motorists about the traffic shift. Please note construction schedules may change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Motorists are advised to exercise extra caution when driving through the work zone.
