About

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is conducting a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study to evaluate the need for a new interchange on Interstate 75 (I-75) at the existing County Road (C.R.) 514 (Warm Springs Avenue) overpass. The project limits extend north and south along I-75 at C.R. 514, and along C.R. 514 from west of I-75 to Industrial Park Drive (C.R. 525). The project is located in the City of Coleman, Sumter County, Florida.

The proposed interchange is located south of the crossroads of two major transportation facilities, I-75 and Florida's Turnpike, north of the C.R. 470 interchange, and near the active CSX freight rail line. Recent industrial activity and development have generated substantial increases in transportation demand and heightened the need for improved connectivity to I-75. These improvements are essential to support existing and planned development and to enhance overall transportation system connectivity. The purpose of this project is to provide system linkage to I-75 to accommodate and support the increase in transportation demand along Industrial Park Drive.

Please check this website regularly for updates. Project documents, meeting announcements, and other important information will be uploaded as they become available.
