BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists are advised that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will implement the following overnight ramp closures on Interstate 95 (I-95) in Brevard County beginning as early as Sunday, October 11. These closures are necessary to complete paving operations for the I-95 resurfacing project.

The work schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Motorists are encouraged to remain alert, use caution in the work area, and follow all posted detour signs. Closure information and detour routes are provided below, with corresponding detour maps attached.

 

Overnight Ramp Closures at I-95 Interchange at Pineda Causeway (State Road (S.R.) 404)

Sunday, October 11, through Tuesday, October 13: The off-ramp from southbound I-95 to Pineda Causeway (Exit 188) will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, concluding on Wednesday, October 14.

  • Motorists traveling southbound on I-95 who wish to access Pineda Causeway (Exit 188) should take the prior exit onto westbound Wickham Road (Exit 191). From there, use the third exit at the roundabout to turn left onto southbound Lake Andrew Drive, and continue south to Pineda Causeway.

Wednesday, October 14, through Thursday, October 15: The on-ramp from Pineda Causeway to southbound I-95 will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, concluding on Friday, October 16.

  • Motorists traveling on Pineda Causeway who wish to access southbound I-95 may travel north on Lake Andrew Drive from Pineda Causeway west of the interchange. From there, use the first exit at the roundabout to turn right onto eastbound Wickham Road and proceed east to the southbound I-95 on-ramp.

Overnight Ramp Closures at I-95 Interchange at S.R. 46 (West Main Street)

Wednesday, October 14: The off-ramp from northbound I-95 to S.R. 46 (Exit 223) will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, Thursday, October 15.

  • Motorists traveling northbound on I-95 who wish to access S.R. 46 (Exit 223) should continue north on I-95 and exit at Deering Parkway (Exit 231). From there, turn left onto westbound Deering Parkway, immediately re-enter southbound I-95, and proceed to S.R. 46 (Exit 223).

Thursday, October 15: The on-ramp from S.R. 46 to northbound I-95 will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, Friday, October 16.

  • Motorists traveling on S.R. 46 who wish to access northbound I-95 should enter southbound I-95 from S.R. 46 and travel south to exit at S.R. 406 (Garden Street) (Exit 220). From there, turn left onto eastbound S.R. 406 and proceed east to the northbound I-95 on-ramp.
