BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists are advised that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will implement the following overnight ramp closures on Interstate 95 (I-95) and State Road (S.R.) 46 (West Main Street) in Brevard County beginning as early as Wednesday, October 7.

These closures are necessary to complete paving operations for the I-95 resurfacing projects.

The work schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

FDOT advises motorists to remain alert and follow all posted detour signs. Please see the attached detour maps for additional details.

Wednesday, October 7: The off-ramp from northbound I-95 to S.R. 46 (Exit 223) will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, Thursday, October 8.

  • Motorists traveling northbound on I-95 who wish to access S.R. 46 (Exit 223) should continue north on I-95 and exit at Deering Parkway (Exit 231). From there, turn left onto westbound Deering Parkway, immediately re-enter southbound I-95, and proceed to S.R. 46 (Exit 223).

Thursday, October 8: The on-ramp from S.R. 46 to northbound I-95 will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, Friday, October 9.

  • Motorists traveling on S.R. 46 who wish to access northbound I-95 should enter southbound I-95 from S.R. 46 and travel south to exit at S.R. 406 (Garden Street) (Exit 220). From there, turn left onto eastbound S.R. 406 and proceed east to the northbound I-95 on-ramp.
