Upcoming Public Meeting: S.R. 434 Resurfacing
SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a project open house regarding proposed improvements on State Road (S.R.) 434 from east of U.S. 17-92 (S.R. 15/600) to S.R. 419 on Thursday, August 20, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The purpose of this project is to enhance safety and operations along the corridor, as well as provide a rehabilitated asphalt surface to maintain the roadway. The project will replace a portion of the two-way center turn lane with a raised median and directional median openings between Sheoah Boulevard and Charles Street.
The open house will be held in-person from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Longwood Community Building at 200 W. Warren Ave., Longwood, FL 32750. Attendees will be able to view a looping presentation and project displays, speak with project team members, and submit comments or questions.
To provide additional flexibility for stakeholders, the FDOT is also offering participation online through the project website www.CFLRoads.com/project/454207-1. Visitors to the page may watch the project presentation, view project exhibits, and submit comments and questions directly to the project manager. Project materials will be available beginning Thursday, August 20, and will be the same as what will be shared at the in-person open house. While the information will remain on the website throughout the project, please provide comments or questions by September 3 to have the comments included in the open house record.
