Traffic Advisory: Overnight Ramp Closures at I-95 Interchanges, April 26 - May 1
BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists are advised that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will implement the following overnight ramp closures on Interstate 95 (I-95) in Brevard County beginning as early as Sunday, April 26.
These closures are necessary to complete paving operations for the I-95 resurfacing projects.
The work schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
FDOT advises motorists to remain alert and follow all posted detour signs. Please see the attached detour maps for additional details.
Overnight Ramp Closures at I-95 Interchange at Pineda Causeway
Sunday, April 26: The northbound I-95 off-ramp to Pineda Causeway (Exit 188) will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, Monday, April 27.
Motorists traveling northbound on I-95 who wish to access Pineda Causeway (Exit 188) should continue north and take the exit for Wickham Road (Exit 191). From there, turn left onto westbound Wickham Road, immediately re-enter southbound I-95, and proceed to the Pineda Causeway exit (Exit 188).
Overnight Ramp Closures at I-95 Interchange at Ellis Road
Monday, April 27: The southbound I-95 off-ramp to Ellis Road (Exit 182) will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, Tuesday, April 28.
- Motorists traveling southbound on I-95 who wish to access Ellis Road (Exit 182) should continue south on I-95 and take the exit for U.S. 192 (Exit 180). From there, turn left onto eastbound U.S. 192 and proceed to the northbound I-95 on-ramp. Then, travel north and take the exit for Ellis Road (Exit 182).
Tuesday, April 28: The southbound I-95 on-ramp from Ellis Road will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, Wednesday, April 29.
- Motorists traveling eastbound on Ellis Road who wish to access southbound I-95 should turn right onto southbound John Rodes Boulevard. From there, proceed south to U.S. 192, turn right onto westbound U.S. 192, and proceed to the southbound I-95 on-ramp.
- Motorists traveling westbound on Ellis Road who wish to access southbound I-95 should continue west as Ellis Road turns into St. Johns Heritage Parkway and veers to the south. From there, continue south to U.S. 192, turn left onto eastbound U.S. 192, and proceed to the southbound I-95 on-ramp.
Wednesday, April 29: The northbound I-95 off-ramp to Ellis Road (Exit 182) will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, Thursday, April 30.
- Motorists traveling northbound on I-95 who wish to access Ellis Road (Exit 182) should continue north on I-95 and take the exit for Eau Gallie Boulevard (S.R. 518) (Exit 183). From there, turn left onto westbound Eau Gallie Boulevard and proceed to access the southbound I-95 on-ramp. Then, travel south on I-95 and take the exit for Ellis Road (Exit 182).
Thursday, April 30: The northbound I-95 on-ramp from Ellis Road will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, concluding on Friday, May 1.
- Motorists traveling eastbound on Ellis Road who wish to access northbound I-95 should turn right onto southbound John Rodes Boulevard. From there, proceed south to U.S. 192, turn right onto westbound U.S. 192, and proceed to the northbound I-95 on-ramp.
Motorists traveling westbound on Ellis Road who wish to access northbound I-95 should continue west as Ellis Road turns into St. Johns Heritage Parkway and veers to the south. From there, continue south to U.S. 192, turn left onto eastbound U.S. 192, and proceed to the northbound I-95 on-ramp.
