Traffic Advisory: Overnight Ramp Closures at I-4 Interchanges at S.R. 417 and S.R. 46, April 20-21
SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists are advised that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will implement overnight ramp closures at the Interstate 4 (I-4) interchanges at State Road (S.R.) 417 southbound (Exit 101-B) and S.R. 46 (Exit 101-D) beginning as early as Monday, April 20. The ramps are scheduled to reopen Tuesday morning, April 21.
These closures are necessary to complete signage work for the Wekiva Parkway project.
Monday, April 20: The eastbound I-4 off-ramps onto southbound S.R. 417 (Exit 101-B) and S.R. 46 (Exit 101-D) will be closed overnight from 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. the following morning, concluding Tuesday morning, April 21.
- Motorists traveling eastbound on I-4 who wish to access southbound S.R. 417 (Exit 101-B) should take the exit onto County Road (C.R.) 46A (Exit 101-A) and turn right to proceed to the intersection with Rinehart Road. From there, turn left onto Rinehart Road, and continue to the on-ramp onto southbound S.R. 417.
- Motorists traveling eastbound on I-4 who wish to access S.R. 46 (Exit 101-B) should take the exit onto County Road (C.R.) 46A (Exit 101-A) and turn right to proceed to the intersection with Rinehart Road. From there, turn left onto Rinehart Road and continue to the intersection with S.R. 46.
Also, motorists should be alert for a single lane closure on S.R. 417 southbound from Town Center Boulevard to Rinehart Road to accommodate bridge work during the same timeframe.
FDOT advises motorists to remain alert and follow all posted detour signs. The work schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
