Traffic Advisory: Overnight Ramp Closures at I-95 Interchanges at U.S. 192 and Palm Bay Road, Jan. 18-23
BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists are advised that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will implement overnight ramp closures at the Interstate 95 (I-95) interchanges with U.S. 192 (Exit 180) and Palm Bay Road (Exit 176) beginning as early as Sunday, Jan. 18, through Thursday, Jan. 22. The final ramp is scheduled to reopen Friday morning, Jan. 23.
On Sunday, Jan. 18, the southbound I-95 off-ramp to U.S. 192 (Exit 180) will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.
- Motorists traveling southbound on I-95 who wish to access U.S. 192 should continue south and exit at Palm Bay Road (Exit 176). Motorists may then re-enter I-95 northbound and continue to U.S. 192 (Exit 180).
On Monday, Jan. 19, and Tuesday, Jan. 20, the southbound I-95 entrance ramp from U.S. 192 will be closed each night from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.
- Motorists traveling eastbound on U.S. 192 who wish to access southbound I-95 should continue east to South John Rodes Boulevard, turn left, and travel north to Ellis Road. From there, turn left onto Ellis Road and continue west to access the southbound I-95 entrance ramp.
- Motorists traveling westbound on U.S. 192 who wish to access southbound I-95 should continue west and turn right onto St. Johns Heritage Parkway/Ellis Road, then travel north to access the southbound I-95 entrance ramp.
On Wednesday, Jan. 21, the northbound I-95 entrance ramp from Palm Bay Road will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.
- Motorists traveling eastbound on Palm Bay Road who wish to access northbound I-95 should continue east to Hollywood Boulevard, turn left on Hollywood Boulevard, and travel north to U.S. 192/West New Haven Avenue. Turn left onto U.S. 192/West New Haven Avenue and continue west to access the northbound I-95 entrance ramp.
- Motorists traveling westbound on Palm Bay Road who wish to access northbound I-95 should continue west to Minton Road, turn right onto Minton Road, then turn left onto U.S. 192/West New Haven Avenue and continue west to access the northbound I-95 entrance ramp.
On Thursday, Jan. 22, the southbound I-95 off-ramp to Palm Bay Road (Exit 176) will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.
- Motorists traveling southbound on I-95 who wish to access Palm Bay Road should continue south and exit at Malabar Road (Exit 173). Motorists may then re-enter I-95 heading northbound and continue to Palm Bay Road (Exit 176).
These closures are necessary to complete paving operations and represent the fourth in a series of planned ramp closures associated with the I-95 resurfacing project in Brevard County.
