Traffic Advisory: Overnight Road Closure of U.S. 441/Main Street at Park Avenue in Apopka Jan. 18-22
APOPKA, Fla. – Motorists are advised that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will implement an overnight closure of U.S. 441/Main Street (Orange Blossom Trail) at Park Avenue beginning Sunday, January 18, through Thursday, January 22. Lane closures with detours to be in place each night as early as 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning. The closure is necessary for signalization upgrades at the intersection.
Detour Information:
· Motorists traveling eastbound on U.S. 441/Main Street who wish to continue east may turn left on Central Avenue, right on 3rd Street, and right on Forest Avenue to continue east on U.S. 441/Main Street. Alternatively, motorists may turn right on Central Avenue, left on 5th Street, and left on Forest Avenue to continue east on U.S. 441/Main Street.
· Motorists traveling westbound on U.S. 441/Main Street who wish to continue west may turn right on Forest Avenue, left on 3rd Street, and left on Central Avenue to continue west on U.S. 441/Main Street. Alternatively, motorists may turn left on Forest Avenue, right on 5th Street, and right on Central Avenue to continue west on U.S. 441/Main Street.
FDOT advises motorists to use caution, remain alert, and follow all posted detour signs.
