Traffic Advisory: Overnight Closure of the Westbound I-4 Exit Ramp to Sand Lake Road (Exit 74A) December 7
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists are advised that the westbound Interstate 4 (I-4) exit ramp to Sand Lake Road (State Road (S.R.) 482) at Exit 74A will be closed overnight on Sunday, December 7, for paving work. The closure will begin as early as 10 p.m. and is expected to reopen by 6 a.m. the following morning on Monday, December 8.
*NOTE: If this work is not completed overnight on Sunday, December 7, this same closure will occur Monday night, December 8, during the same timeframe.
This work is part of the ongoing improvement project to reconstruct the I-4 and Sand Lake Road interchange into a diverging diamond interchange (DDI).
Detour Information
Motorists traveling westbound on I-4 who wish to access Sand Lake Road should take Exit 74B onto northbound Adventure Way. From there, motorists can either:
- Turn left onto westbound Hollywood Way, then turn left again onto southbound Turkey Lake Road and proceed to Sand Lake Road west of I-4.
- Turn right onto eastbound Hollywood Way, then turn right again onto southbound Universal Boulevard and proceed to Sand Lake Road east of I-4.
FDOT advises motorists to follow all posted detour signs. Construction schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
