Traffic Advisory: Overnight Ramp Closures at I-95 and Malabar Road in Palm Bay to Start December 1
PALM BAY, Fla. – Motorists are advised that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will implement nighttime ramp closures at the Interstate 95 (I-95) interchange at Malabar Road (State Road (S.R.) 514) in Palm Bay, Brevard County, beginning as early as Monday night, December 1. This is Exit 173 on I-95.
These closures, which are necessary for paving operations, are the first of a series of upcoming ramp closures for the I-95 resurfacing project.

- The off-ramp from northbound I-95 to Malabar Road will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. Monday, December 1, to 5 a.m. Tuesday, December 2.
o Detour: Motorists traveling northbound on I-95 who wish to access Malabar Road should continue north to Palm Bay Road (Exit 176). Motorists should exit at Palm Bay Road, turn left, re-enter southbound I-95, and continue south to Malabar Road (Exit 173).
- The on-ramp onto northbound I-95 from Malabar Road will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, to 5 a.m. Thursday, December 4.
o Eastbound detour: Motorists traveling eastbound on Malabar Road who wish to access northbound I-95 should continue to Babcock Street, turn left, and travel north to Palm Bay Road. Motorists should turn left (west) onto Palm Bay Road and continue to the I-95 interchange to enter northbound I-95.
o Westbound detour: Motorists traveling westbound on Malabar Road who wish to access northbound I-95 should continue to Minton Road, turn right, and travel north to Palm Bay Road. Motorists should turn right (east) onto Palm Bay Road and continue to the I-95 interchange to enter northbound I-95.
