Traffic Advisory: Lane Closures for I-4 Bridge Work to Begin Dec. 2

SEMINOLE AND VOLUSIA COUNTIES, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is conducting routine bridge

work on Interstate 4 (I-4) at Orange Boulevard in Seminole County and from south of Dirksen Drive/Debary Avenue to Saxon Boulevard in Volusia County.

Intermittent eastbound and westbound single-lane and double-lane closures will be necessary to facilitate this work.

Please see the anticipated lane closure schedule below:

 Tuesday, Dec. 2 to Wednesday, Dec. 3, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.:

  • Westbound I-4 bridge over Dirksen Drive: Lane closures will start in the far-right lane, then switch to the two left lanes.

Wednesday, Dec. 3 to Thursday, Dec. 4, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.:

  • Eastbound I-4 bridge over Dirksen Drive: Lane closures will start in the far-right lane, then switch to the two left lanes.

Thursday, Dec. 4 to Friday, Dec. 5, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.:

  • Westbound Saxon Boulevard bridge over I-4: Lane closures will occur in the far-right lane.

 Friday, Dec. 5 to Saturday, Dec. 6, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.:

  • Westbound Saxon Boulevard over I-4: Lane closures will occur in the two lanes left.

Saturday, Dec. 6 to Sunday, Dec. 7, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.:

  • Eastbound Saxon Boulevard over I-4: Lane closures will occur in the far-right lane.

Work on the I-4 bridges over Orange Boulevard will occur at a later date.

This work is being conducted as part of the I-4 Bridge Rehabilitation project to smooth bridge approaches.

The work schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
