Traffic Advisory: Overnight Closures of the Westbound I-4 Exit Ramp to Sand Lake Road (Exit 74A) December 1-4
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists are advised that the westbound Interstate 4 (I-4) exit ramp to Sand Lake Road (State Road (S.R.) 482) at Exit 74A will be closed nightly from Monday, December 1, through Thursday, December 4, for paving work. The overnight closures will begin as early as 10 p.m. each night and are expected to reopen by 6 a.m. the following morning, with the last closure opening on the morning of Friday, December 5.
This work is part of the ongoing improvement project to reconstruct the I-4 and Sand Lake Road interchange into a diverging diamond interchange (DDI).
Detour Information:
Motorists traveling westbound on I-4 who wish to access Sand Lake Road should take Exit 74B onto northbound Adventure Way. From there, motorists can either:
- Turn left onto westbound Hollywood Way, then turn left again onto southbound Turkey Lake Road and proceed to Sand Lake Road west of I-4.
- Turn right onto eastbound Hollywood Way, then turn right again onto southbound Universal Boulevard and proceed to Sand Lake Road east of I-4.
FDOT advises motorists to follow all posted detour signs. Construction schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
