BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists are advised that two lanes of southbound Interstate 95 (I-95) are closed at Citrus Boulevard in Brevard County due to a bridge hit at the Citrus Boulevard overpass bridge at Mile Marker 206. This location is approximately one mile north of the I-95 and State Road (S.R.) 528 (Beachline Expressway) interchange.

One southbound lane of I-95 is open, but there are significant delays for motorists on the interstate. Travelers may wish to take an alternate route through Brevard County. Updates to traffic conditions are available at www.FL511.com and the Florida 511 app.

The Citrus Boulevard bridge over I-95 is also closed to traffic until further notice. The following detours are in place for the Citrus Boulevard bridge closure:

Motorists on the east side of the Citrus Boulevard bridge should take Citrus Boulevard to the east, turn left on Lee Street, turn right on Canaveral Groves Boulevard, turn right on Grissom Parkway and go around the curve, turn right on Industry Road, turn right on S.R. 524, go past the I-95 interchange, turn right on Adamson Road, turn left on Coconut Avenue, turn right on Pine Street, and that will lead back to Citrus Boulevard.

Motorists on the west side of the Citrus Boulevard bridge should take Citrus Boulevard to the west, turn left on Pine Street, turn left on Coconut Avenue, turn right on Adamson Road, turn left on S.R. 524, go past the I-95 interchange, turn left on Industry Road, turn left on Grissom Parkway and go around the curve, turn left on Canaveral Groves Boulevard, turn left on Lee Street, and that will lead back to Citrus Boulevard.

Motorists should use extra caution when traveling in this area.
