SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists are advised that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is implementing overnight Interstate 4 (I-4) off ramp closures at Maitland Boulevard/Lake Destiny Road interchange in Seminole County on the nights of Monday, August 11, Tuesday August 12, and Thursday, August 14.

The closures will begin as early as 10 p.m. each night and are expected to reopen by 5 a.m. the following morning, with the last closure opening on the morning of Friday, August 15. These closures are necessary for road work on the ramps.

Motorists can expect the following overnight off ramp closures:

Monday night, August 11:

  • Westbound I-4 exit ramp to Lake Destiny Road, Exit 90C

Tuesday night, August 12:

  • Westbound I-4 exit ramps to eastbound and westbound Maitland Boulevard (State Road (S.R.) 414), Exit 90B-A

Thursday night, August 14:

  • Eastbound I-4 exit ramp to Maitland Boulevard, Exit 90 A-B

Detour Information for August 11 Overnight Closure

Motorists traveling on westbound I-4 who wish to access Lake Destiny Road will first take Exit 90B-A, keeping left toward Maitland Boulevard (Exit 90A-B), then take the exit on the right to westbound Maitland Boulevard (Exit 90B). Motorists will continue west on Maitland Boulevard and exit at Keller Road. Motorists will turn right onto northbound Keller Road and proceed to Maitland Center Parkway, where they will turn right and proceed east to Lake Destiny Road.

Detour Information for August 12 Overnight Closure

Motorists traveling on westbound I-4 who wish to access Maitland Boulevard will first take Exit 90 B-A, then take Exit 90C on the right to Lake Destiny Road, before turning right onto northbound Lake Destiny Road. From there, drivers will turn left onto westbound Maitland Center Parkway, then turn left onto southbound Keller Road, and turn left again onto eastbound Maitland Boulevard.

Detour Information for August 14 Overnight Closure

Motorists traveling on eastbound I-4 who wish to access westbound Maitland Boulevard will first exit at Exit 90 A-B, then take Exit 90A to eastbound Maitland Boulevard/Sandspur Road, staying in the left lane towards eastbound Maitland Boulevard. Drivers will merge onto eastbound Maitland Boulevard and proceed to the traffic signal at Maitland Concourse. At the traffic signal, motorists will perform a U-turn onto westbound Maitland Boulevard.

FDOT advises motorists to follow all posted detour signs. Construction schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
