Traffic Advisory: Overnight Ramp Closures at S.R. 50 and S.R. 520 to start July 28

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists are advised that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will implement nighttime ramp closures at State Road (S.R.) 50 and S.R. 520 beginning as early as Monday, July 28. These closures are necessary for paving operations.

Please see the anticipated schedule and detour information below:

  • The ramp from westbound S.R. 50 to eastbound S.R. 520 will be closed overnight from 8:30 p.m. Monday, July 28, to 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 29.

o    Detour: Motorists traveling westbound on S.R. 50 wishing to access eastbound S.R. 520 should continue westbound, make a U-turn at the first available median opening, and exit onto eastbound S.R. 520.

  • The ramp from westbound S.R. 520 to westbound S.R. 50 will be closed overnight from 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, to 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 30.

o    Detour: Motorists traveling westbound on S.R. 520 wishing to access westbound S.R. 50 should exit onto eastbound S.R. 50, make a U-turn at the first available median opening, and continue west on S.R. 50.

  • A section of westbound S.R. 50 at S.R. 520 will be closed overnight from 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, to 6:30 a.m. Thursday, July 31.

o    Detour: Motorists traveling westbound on S.R. 50 should take the ramp onto eastbound S.R. 520, continue east to make a U-turn at the first available median opening, and use the westbound S.R. 520 exit ramp to access westbound S.R. 50 past the road closure.

·         The ramp from westbound S.R. 520 to eastbound S.R. 50 will be closed overnight from 8:30 p.m. Thursday, July 31, to 6:30 a.m. Friday, August 1.

o    Detour: Motorists traveling westbound on S.R. 520 wishing to access eastbound S.R. 50 should exit onto westbound S.R. 50, make a U-turn at the first available median opening, and continue east on S.R. 50.
