ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) advises motorists that the southbound right turn lane on Orange Blossom Trail (U.S. 441) at the intersection of Old Highway 441 (County Road 500A) in Mount Dora will be closed beginning at 8 p.m. Thursday, July 17, as part of work to reconfigure the intersection.

To maintain access, the existing southbound outside travel lane will be temporarily converted to a right-turn-only lane, allowing drivers to use a new temporary access point to reach northbound Old Highway 441. Signage will be posted instructing motorists to yield to oncoming traffic before turning onto Old Highway 441.

Additional traffic control devices will also be in place to direct northbound traffic on Orange Blossom Trail attempting to turn left onto northbound Old Highway 441 toward the new access point, as the pre-existing one will be closed.

This is a temporary traffic adjustment to help maintain traffic flow during construction. Full roadway capacity will be restored once the new configuration and driving surface are in place.

The work schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances. For more information, please visit www.cflroads.com/project/447610-1. FDOT advises motorists to use caution, remain alert, and follow all posted detour signs.
