ORLANDO, Fla. – A series of traffic pacing operations on westbound and eastbound Interstate 4 (I-4) are planned from 1 to 5 a.m. early Thursday morning, July 17, for utility crews to pull lines across the interstate. Motorists should plan accordingly, as delays are expected.

Law enforcement officers will slow traffic to below 20 mph and may bring it to a complete stop for short durations to safely facilitate this work in Orange and Osceola counties. Motorists attempting to enter the interstate at the following locations may have to wait or follow law enforcement at a reduced speed.

Westbound

  • Westbound I-4 pacing operation will begin at or near Daryl Carter Parkway overpass
  • I-4 entrance ramp from State Road 535 (Exit 68)
  • I-4 entrance ramps from State Road 536 (Epcot Center Drive) (Exit 67)
  • I-4 entrance ramps from Osceola Parkway (Exit 65)
  • I-4 entrance ramps from U.S. 192 (Exit 64)
  • I-4 entrance ramp from World Drive / State Road 417 Southbound (Exit 62)

Eastbound

  • Eastbound I-4 pacing operation will begin at the I-4 entrance ramp from U.S.-27 (Exit 55)
  • I-4 entrance ramp from County Road 532 (Osceola Polk Line Road) (Exit 58)
  • I-4 entrance ramp from State Road 429 (Exit 60)
