UPDATE: All westbound lanes of I-4 are open with the exception of the far left (inside) lane, which is in need of repairs. The westbound off ramp at County Road 532 is closed, as the burnt trailer of the truck from the incident has been placed there and is being monitored by fire rescue.

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists are advised that westbound Interstate 4 (I-4) is closed at mile marker 59 near ChampionsGate in Osceola County due to a crash involving hazardous materials (fertilizer).

All westbound traffic is being diverted off exit 62 to World Drive. Motorists wishing to continue westbound I-4 should head westbound on U.S. 192 and southbound on U.S. 27 before returning to westbound I-4.

The Florida Department of Transportation advises motorists to drive safely, avoid this area, and seek alternate routes. The Department is adjusting traffic signal timing in this area to help the flow of traffic.
