Traffic Advisory: I-4 Exit Ramps to Sand Lake Road (Exit 74A) to Close Overnight Starting March 2
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists are advised that full closures of the westbound and eastbound Interstate 4 (I-4) exit ramps to Sand Lake Road (State Road (S.R.) 482) at Exit 74A are scheduled to take place overnight starting Sunday, March 2 through Friday, March 7. The ramp closures are scheduled to begin as early as 10 p.m. each night and are expected to reopen by 5 a.m. the following morning.
From March 2-7, the westbound I-4 exit ramp to Sand Lake Road will be closed for paving operations.
During the westbound ramp closure, motorists traveling on westbound I-4 who wish to access Sand Lake Road (Exit 74A) should take Exit 74B onto Adventure Way. From there, motorists will turn right onto eastbound Hollywood Way, then turn right again onto southbound Universal Boulevard and proceed to Sand Lake Road.
Alternatively, after taking Exit 74B onto Adventure Way, motorists can turn left onto westbound Hollywood Way, then turn left again onto southbound Turkey Lake Road and proceed south to Sand Lake Road.
From March 4-7, the eastbound I-4 exit ramp to Sand Lake Road will be closed for overhead sign relocation.
During the eastbound ramp closure, motorists traveling on eastbound I-4 who wish to access Sand Lake Road (Exit 74A) will continue east and take Exit 75A at Universal Boulevard. Drivers will then turn right onto southbound Universal Boulevard and proceed to Sand Lake Road.
FDOT advises motorists to follow all posted detour signs. Construction schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
