VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a public hearing regarding the I-95 at U.S. 1 PD&E Study on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 (Virtual), and Thursday, March 30, 2023 (In-Person), at 5:30 p.m. The purpose of this study is to accommodate the existing and future travel demand, improve safety, and enhance pedestrian connectivity by developing solutions, known as alternatives, that improve operations at the I-95 interchange at U.S. 1 and along U.S. 1.

The Department is offering multiple ways for the community to participate in the hearing. All participants, regardless of which platform they choose, will receive the same information.

Virtual Option: Interested persons may join from a computer, tablet, or mobile device on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. For this option, advance registration is required by visiting attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/4208227250494676238. Once registered, participants will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the hearing online. Please use Chrome or Microsoft Edge as your internet browser to register and attend. The virtual hearing will open at 5:30 p.m. with the presentation beginning promptly at 6 p.m. The presentation will be followed by a formal public comment period. If joining online, please allow adequate time to log in to view the presentation in its entirety.

Phone Option (Listen Only): Participants may listen to the hearing on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. by dialing 1-866-901-6455 and entering the passcode 354-879-147 when prompted.

In-Person Option: Participants may attend in person by going to The Chapel, 1805 U.S. 1, Ormond Beach, FL 32174 on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. The in-person hearing location will open the doors at 5:30 p.m. to allow participants to view the hearing materials prior to the presentation. The presentation will begin promptly at 6 p.m., followed by a formal public comment period. If attending in person, please remember to follow all safety and sanitation guidelines. If you are feeling unwell, please consider attending the hearing virtually or by phone.

All hearing materials, including the presentation, will be available on the project website at www.cflroads.com/project/419772-2 prior to the hearing. In addition, a hard copy of the draft project documents will be available for public review from Monday, March 6, 2023 to Monday, April 10, 2023 at:

  1. Ormond Beach Regional Library, 30 S. Beach Street, Ormond Beach, FL 32174 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
