COCOA, Fla. — The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a public meeting regarding project plans on State Road (S.R.) 520 from Cox Road to Hubert Humphrey Causeway on Thursday, October 14, at 5:30 p.m. The public meeting will provide information on two projects. The purpose of both projects is to enhance safety and mobility along S.R. 520. The first project (FPID: 445689-1) is a safety improvement project from Cox Road to Aurora Street that proposes to make changes to the existing median. The second project (FPID: 442885-1) will resurface S.R. 520 between Aurora Street and Hubert Humphrey Causeway.

The Department is offering multiple ways for the community to participate in the meeting. All participants, regardless of platform they choose, will participate in the same live meeting.

Virtual Option: Interested persons may join the Virtual Public Meeting (VPH) from a computer, tablet, or mobile device. A VPH is a free live presentation or webinar over the internet. For this option, advance registration is required by visiting bit.ly/3s9pTQB. Once registered, participants will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting online. Please note, Internet Explorer cannot be used to register or attend this webinar. If joining online, please allow adequate log-in time to view the presentation in its entirety.

Phone Option (Listen Only): Participants may join the meeting in listen-only mode by dialing 1-866-952-8437 and entering the passcode 635-637-668 when prompted.

In-Person Open House Option: Participants may attend in person by going to the Cocoa Civic Center, 430 Delannoy Avenue, Cocoa, FL 32922. The in-person meeting will be an open house where participants can stop by anytime between 5:30 p.m. and time 7 p.m. to view a looping presentation and project displays, speak with project team members, and submit comments or questions.
