Westbound I-4 through Winter Park and College Park Shifting as Soon as August 3

Princeton Street Exit Point Shifting More Than a Mile Sooner

Orlando, Fla. Traffic on westbound Interstate 4 (I-4) between Fairbanks Avenue and Princeton Street will be shifting as soon as the morning of Saturday, August 3, so crews can safely demolish and reconstruct new travel lanes.

This shift creates a temporary westbound I-4 ramp system, parallel to mainline I-4, which changes westbound I-4 access points from Fairbanks Avenue, Par Street, and Princeton Street. Motorists looking to exit onto Princeton Street (Exit 85) will need to exit nearly a mile and a half sooner than the previous configuration. The temporary westbound I-4 exit point to Princeton Street will be immediately following Fairbanks Avenue.

Various nightly ramp closures and lane closures on I-4 are necessary to prepare for the new traffic pattern, beginning as early as 8:30 p.m. the night of August 2.

Once these shifts have been completed, nightly and continuous closures of roads and ramps may be necessary to demolish the old bridges. Please consult i4ultimate.com for more updates.

Modifications or extensions to these schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work zone.
