New Traffic Pattern, I-95 and I-4 Interchange Detour this Weekend in Daytona

Volusia County Motorists using Interstate 95 (I-95), Interstate 4 (I-4) and U.S. 92 in the Daytona area should be aware of a detour and new traffic pattern this weekend.

I-95 northbound traffic will be detoured Sunday, March 4 from about 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. with a backup date of Monday, March 5, if needed. The detour involves a traffic switch that will move I -95 northbound traffic to a new I-95 bridge at the U.S. 92 interchange. The traffic switch and detour will allow the contractor to safely construct additional I-95 northbound bridges.

Detours will be well marked and will affect:

  • I-95 northbound traffic
  • I-95 northbound ramp to I-4 westbound (Exit 260B)
  • U.S. 92 eastbound and westbound ramps to I-95 northbound

Also, motorists traveling on I-95 northbound heading to S.R. 400 eastbound, I-4 westbound or U.S. 92/International Speedway Boulevard will need to exit onto a new collector distributor road to access their appropriate exit beginning Monday or soon thereafter.

Electronic message boards and other signage will be used to direct motorists. Please note that this schedule may change due to weather or other unexpected conditions.
