The purpose of this project is to increase safety, improve traffic flow, and reduce the number of areas where vehicles cross paths by installing a median using vertical posts on Silver Star Road (State Road (S.R.) 416) from John Young Parkway (S.R. 423) to east of Hansrob Road. This project is an interim solution until the future construction of a concrete median. The intersection at Hansrob Road will continue to allow right turns in all directions, as well as westbound left turns into the WaWa driveway. Northbound and southbound left turns and through movements, as well as eastbound left turns, will be prohibited at this intersection. 

This interim project was developed through a study completed in April 2020. The concrete median improvement will be installed with a future repaving project, FPID No. 448801-1, on Silver Star Road from Princeton Street (S.R. 438) to N. Orange Blossom Trail (U.S. 441).
