Drainage Maintenance in Marion County
  • Monday, January 29th, 2018 to Saturday, September 1st, 2018

    There will be on-going, periodic single outside lane closures on both sides of the road for the duration of this drainage improvement project. Work will occur on S.R. 40 (west) in Ocala between Southwest 110th Avenue and Southwest 85th Avenue.

  • Monday, March 26th, 2018 to Friday, August 31st, 2018

    No lane closures are anticipated; however, motorists will see construction work along the shoulders and within truck parking spaces. FDOT advises motorists to slow down and drive with caution within a construction zone.

  • Wednesday, April 11th, 2018 to Saturday, September 29th, 2018

    Motorists can expect daytime construction work and periodic nighttime lane closures. Some work will take place behind barrier wall.

    Left turns at Southeast 10th Avenue and at the SSV Professional Center will also be periodic. When it is closed, motorists will be directed to make a U-turn at the Southeast 31st Street intersection.

    Electronic message boards and other signage will be placed in advance to alert motorists of any upcoming closures and to help direct traffic.

    Please be advised that traffic is directed around work activities. FDOT reminds drivers that the speed is reduced to 45 mph within the construction limits. Please be alert and slow down in the work zone.

Safety Project in Marion County [423391-2] View Project
  • Thursday, May 10th, 2018 to Friday, June 1st, 2018

    Single lane closures will occur on Baseline Road at any time except between 2 and 6 p.m. However, most of the work will occur close to the median.
