About

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) made safety and operational improvements to U.S. 1 (State Road (S.R.) 5) from south of Minnie Lane to the Volusia County Line (County Line Ditch Road). The roadway was resurfaced throughout the project limits to extend the life of the pavement. Drainage improvements, new guardrail, and roadway signage were also placed as part of the project. Additionally, new crosswalks, pedestrian signals, and upgraded pedestrian curb ramps were installed to improve pedestrian safety and meet current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.

The existing traffic signal at Anglers Lane/Brockett Road was enhanced with new Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) technology to improve traffic camera operations. Other upgrades included 14 new bus stop pads.

Project documents are available upon request for historical reference.
