About
This Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) project will provide safety and roadway improvements on State Road (S.R.) 44 from the Interstate 95 (I-95) interchange to Florida Memorial Parkway in New Smyrna Beach. The improvements include adding an eastbound auxiliary for motorists coming from the southbound I-95 exit ramp, a westbound deceleration lane for the northbound I-95 on ramp, and a second left turn lane from the northbound I-95 exit ramp to westbound S.R. 44. Additional work includes roadway resurfacing, drainage modifications, new signage and pavement markings, traffic signal upgrades, median modifications, and lighting improvements.
