This is an access management project located in Marion County, within the Ocala City limits. The project is along West Silver Springs Boulevard (State Road 40) from SW 27th Avenue to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. It will include changes to the current medians to improve the safety of this corridor.

This work will involve converting full median openings to directional medians, closing three of the existing full median openings, and extending some of the turn lanes. Directional medians are medians that control the direction that vehicles may turn, reducing opportunities for vehicles to come in conflict.
