Project Details
About
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will provide roadway and safety improvements on State Road (S.R.) 464 from Southwest 2nd Avenue to S.R. 35 in Ocala, Marion County. The purpose of the project is to rehabilitate the road and enhance safety for motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians.
Work will consist of milling and resurfacing the roadway, as well as upgrading the pedestrian signals and enhancing intersection lighting. To facilitate operations along the corridor the project will be modifying some driveways and adjusting drainage as needed. Additional work will include the construction of sidewalks, bicycle lanes, and bus stops along the corridor.

Lane Closures

Sunday, March 31, through Saturday, April 6, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.: Motorists should expect daytime eastbound and westbound shoulder closures on the east end of the project for drainage, ditch grading, and sidewalk operations. Also, expect eastbound and westbound intermittent overnight lane closures at 1st Avenue and 3rd Avenue for signal work. Please reduce your speed, alertly merge into the open lane and cautiously bypass the construction zone.

Sunday, March 24, through Saturday, March 30, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.: Expect eastbound and westbound shoulder closures on S.R. 464 from U.S. 301 (S.R. 500) to Baseline Road (S.R. 35) for drainage, ditch pavement and sidewalk work. Please reduce your speed, alertly merge into the open lane and cautiously bypass the construction zone.
