This project calls for the milling and resurfacing of nearly 5 miles of Interstate 4 (I-4) from west of Saxon Boulevard to east of State Road (S.R.) 472 in Volusia County, including the ramps and shoulders at the Saxon Boulevard and S.R. 472 interchanges.

Other improvements are replacement of existing curb cut ramps, resetting guardrail, correcting shoulder deterioration at the interchanges, placement of rumble strips and pavement markings.

Additionally, the project will be completed in conjunction with project 441070-1, which includes interchange improvements at Saxon Boulevard, including realignment of the I-4 eastbound off ramp and widening on Saxon Boulevard.

  • Sunday, April 21st, 2019 to Saturday, April 27th, 2019

    Nighttime ramp closures on I-4 at the Saxon Boulevard Interchange (Exit 111) as follows:

    Westbound I-4 off ramp to eastbound Saxon Boulevard closed Monday, April 22, 10 p.m. - 6 a.m. Traffic will be directed to exit onto Dirksen Drive (Exit 108) and take eastbound I-4 back to Saxon Boulevard.

    Westbound I-4 off ramp to westbound Saxon Boulevard closed Tuesday, April 23, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Traffic will be directed to exit at Dirksen Drive (Exit 108) and return to Saxon Boulevard using eastbound I-4.

    Westbound I-4 on ramp from westbound Saxon Boulevard closed Wednesday, April 24, 10 p.m. - 6 a.m. Traffic will be directed to take eastbound I-4 to S.R. 472 (Exit 114) where westbound I-4 will be accessible.

    Westbound I-4 on ramp from eastbound Saxon Boulevard closed Thursday, April 25, 10 p.m. - 6 a.m. Traffic will be directed to take eastbound I-4 to S.R. 472 (Exit 114) where westbound I-4 will be accessible.

    I-4 frontage road at Saxon Boulevard, affecting the westbound I-4 off ramps and on ramps to Saxon Boulevard closed Friday, April 26, 10 p.m. - 6 a.m. Detours will be posted using eastbound I-4, S.R. 472, North Kentucky Avenue, Graves Avenue and Veterans Memorial Highway.
