The scope of this project is to mill and resurface State Road (S.R.) 50 from the Orange County Line to west of S.R. 9 / Interstate 95 (I-95) in Brevard County.  Other improvements include providing cross slope correction at isolated locations and superelevation transition review and correction.  The existing guardrail will be evaluated for missing posts, mounting height, deflection areas to utility poles, intermingled post types and end treatments.  Bicycle lanes (keyholes) will be provided between existing right turn locations and the through travel lane.  Asphalt turnouts will be provided at isolated locations.  Miscellaneous asphalt will be constructed at the back of guardrail at isolated locations to minimize erosion.  The existing Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) cabinet in the southwest quadrant of S.R. 50 and I-95 will be relocated to the northwest quadrant.  Coordination with permitting agencies and an adjacent interchange lighting project will be conducted.
