This is a milling and resurfacing project located in Orange County from State Road (S.R.) 482 (Sand Lake Road) to south of the S.R. 408 Interchange, excluding International Drive to Major Boulevard, which is part of the I-4 Ultimate project.
In addition to milling and resurfacing, the scope of work will also include some minor widening, guardrail upgrades, drainage improvements, signal and signing upgrades, and numerous multimodal enhancements.
As part of the resurfacing project, after a request from the City of Orlando, we will also be designing and constructing a trail throughout part of the project limits. The trail will start on the east side of S.R. 435 (Kirkman Road) at L.B. McLeod Road. It will continue north at Metrowest Boulevard, but will also run east on Metrowest Boulevard and is proposed to tie into the existing trail just west of Eagle’s Nest Elementary School. The trail will cross to the west side of S.R. 435 at Metropolis Way and will end at Raleigh Street.
This project will include a high amount of coordination with other projects already in construction, including; the I-4 Ultimate project, State Road 482 Interchange project, and an arterial management project.
