About

The purpose of this project is to resurface nearly 6 miles of State Road (S.R.) 200 (Southwest College Road) from west of County Road 484 to east of Southwest 60th Avenue. Improvements also include adding a bike lane, adding a left turn lane on eastbound S.R. 200 to northbound Southwest 60th Avenue, and updating curb, gutter, signage, signalization and various pedestrian features to comply with the current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.

Access to businesses and residences will be maintained by the contractor during work activities. Work will require nighttime lane closures between 8 p.m. and 7 a.m. Periodic, continuous sidewalk closures may also occur. Some daytime work may also occur. Drivers can expect uneven lanes during construction as the contractor places layers of new asphalt.

Electronic message boards and other signage will be posted to provide advance lane closure notice to drivers, and to direct traffic around work. The Florida Highway Patrol will also assist with traffic during signal work at intersections. Temporary structures and signs will also be in place to safely direct pedestrians and bicyclists around work. Please pay attention and use caution when traveling through a construction zone.
