As part of the updates to the latest Plans Preparation Manual (PPM), the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) added a policy to light all interchanges on the Interstate system by Fiscal Year 2019, whether they meet the justification warrants or not. This project will provide complete interchange lighting design for three interchanges: Interstate 95 (I-95) / State Road (S.R.) 9 at Wickham Road, I-95 / S.R. 9 at S.R. 520, and I-95 / S.R. 9 at S.R. 524. The project is expected to improve nighttime visibility for the traveling public.
