The project also includes the paving of street approaches on S.R. 33 and miscellaneous drainage improvements. The approaches will match the existing roadway while the bridge is expected to have a 12-foot travel lane and 10-foot paved shoulder in each direction. This project has been combined with project 436127-1, which involves constructing a southbound left turn lane on S.R. 33 to County Road (C.R.) 561.

At this time, construction to replace the Green Swamp bridge on State Road 33 continues to be postponed.
Construction for the southbound left turn lane on State Road 33 to County Road 561 begins Tuesday, May 28. For more information, visit http://www.cflroads.com/project/436127-1/SR_33_at_CR_561
The decision to postpone the bridge project comes after further consultation with local partners to explore other means and methods that could offer less disruption. The additional time will allow everyone to see if there is another option, other than the total shutdown of traffic at the site of the current bridge during demolition and reconstruction.
A new construction timetable is being developed that will be based on how the construction scope is modified.
