In January 2017, Notice to Proceed (NTP) was given to the design-build team of Ranger Construction Industries, Leware Construction Company and Wantman Group, Inc. (WGI). Early clearing work for the new interchange is scheduled to begin in late February, with construction activities beginning spring 2017.
This design-build project is for the final design, environmental permitting and construction of a new diverging diamond interchange (DDI) at Interstate 95 (I-95) and St. Johns Heritage Parkway, north of Micco Road in Palm Bay. The construction of the new DDI interchange includes the minor widening and resurfacing of mainline I-95 and the addition of drainage system and water retention areas, bridges, highway lighting, and Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) upgrades.
No lane closures anticipated
