Westbound I-4 Exit to Colonial Drive
Shifting to Temporary Configuration
Motorists will exit nearly three-quarters of a mile sooner to reach
Colonial Drive (State Road 50)
Orlando, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is
shifting the westbound Interstate 4 (I-4) right-hand exit ramp to Colonial
Drive (Exit 84A) to a temporary configuration as soon as Saturday, December 7.
The temporary configuration will be a left-hand exit
ramp that will require westbound I-4 motorists to exit nearly three-quarters of
a mile sooner after crossing over New Hampshire Street. The ramp will place
motorists at a signaled intersection at Ivanhoe Boulevard where they will cross
over Ivanhoe Boulevard and follow Legion Place and Orange Avenue to Colonial
Drive.
The temporary arrangement will be in place for up to
one year so crews can safely construct a permanent westbound I-4 exit ramp to
Colonial Drive and the westbound I-4 travel lanes adjacent to Lake
Concord.
