Southbound I-75 On Ramp at State Road 200 Closing Tonight, Oct. 15

Ocala, Fla. Motorists are advised that the southbound Interstate 75 (I-75) on ramp at State Road (S.R.) 200 will be closed nightly from 7:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15.

Eastbound S.R. 200 drivers heading to southbound I-75 will be directed to turn left onto the northbound I-75 ramp and continue northbound on I-75 until exit 352 for S.R. 40, where they will need to exit the interstate, turn left onto S.R. 40 and left onto the southbound I-75 on ramp to merge onto southbound I-75.

Westbound S.R. 200 drivers heading to southbound I-75 will be directed to turn right onto the northbound I-75 ramp and continue northbound to S.R. 40/Exit 352, where they can take the off ramp, turn left onto S.R. 40 and left onto the southbound I-75 on ramp to merge onto southbound I-75.

The ramp closure is needed to maintain safety and provide enough space for crews to install large drainage pipes as part of a Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) project to widen and add turn lanes along S.R. 200 at the I-75 interchange area from just east of Southwest 38th Court to west of Southwest 36th Avenue.

Please note that construction schedules may change due to weather, or other unforeseen circumstances. Electronic message boards will be used to alert drivers to the closure.

Media inquiries should be directed to the FDOT Communications Office at FDOT-D5COMM@dot.state.fl.us or by phone at 386-943-5479. Project information is also available online at www.CFLRoads.com.

FDOT urges all drivers to stay alert and use caution while driving through or near construction zones. When driving, walking, or bicycling, remember to pay attention and follow the rules. Safety doesn't happen by accident.
