Feedback Opportunity for Improvements to Enhance Oakridge Boulevard

Proposed plans are between Halifax Avenue and North Atlantic Avenue (S.R. A1A)

Daytona Beach, Fla.   The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) invites all interested persons to an open house regarding proposed plans to enhance Oakridge Boulevard (State Road (S.R.)  430) in the City of Daytona Beach. Attendees may come any time between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 20, to the Rose Room at the Peabody Auditorium in Daytona Beach.

 

Participants will be able to review project displays, provide input to the FDOT staff and/or representatives, and watch a presentation video that will run on a continuous loop. Project aerials and virtual reality will be used to provide visualization of the proposed improvements, which include:

  • Reducing the number of lanes from three to two;
  • Adding a 7-foot-wide buffered bike lane; and,
  • Milling and resurfacing the existing pavement.
