Nightly Detours Set for Southbound U.S. 1 Near Old Dixie Highway

Southbound U.S. 1 traffic to be detoured at Seminole Woods Boulevard

Bunnell, Fla. Drivers are advised that southbound U.S. 1 will be closed to through traffic from Seminole Woods Boulevard to south of Old Dixie Highway from 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, to 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 5, and from 7 p.m. Monday Aug. 5, to 6 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6. Please note the contractor may need to close southbound U.S. 1 Tuesday night as well if the work is not completed.

The closure is necessary to relocate barrier wall as part of the construction of the new roundabout on U.S. 1 at Old Dixie Highway. During the closure, southbound U.S. 1 traffic will be directed to turn left onto Seminole Woods Boulevard, right onto State Road (S.R.) 100 and take southbound Interstate 95 (I-95) back to U.S. 1 (Exit 273).  Please see attached map.

Electronic message boards and other signage will be in place to direct drivers through the detour route.
