U.S. 17/92 Northbound Lane Closure Could Cause Delays

Located North of Shepard Road

Longwood, Fla. Northbound rush hour commuters using U.S. 17/92 north of Longwood could experience back-ups, north of Shepard Road. Construction crews are working to fix a pavement and storm water pipe issue that is impacting the right northbound lane in the construction corridor. This emergency lane closure could last as long as 8 p.m. Rainy weather could further delay repairs.  The problem was noticed earlier in the day and further investigation determined that an existing storm drainage pipe under U.S. 17/92 had failed. The contractor will continue work until the affected lane is reopened.
